Corrections Log

Every confirmed factual correction made to an article after it was first published.

Last updated September 2026

This page logs every confirmed factual correction made to a Digitally Learn article after it was first published. Each entry shows the date, the article, the original text, the corrected text, and the source used to verify the fix.

If you spot a factual error, an outdated figure or a source that no longer opens, please write to us through the contact page. We aim to check and log every confirmed correction within 72 hours.

How a correction is processed

  1. The reported fact is checked against the source cited in the article.
  2. If that source no longer supports it, we go to the most authoritative source available: NCERT, the ministry or PIB, the Parliament record or the Act itself.
  3. The article is updated, the “Last updated” date refreshes, and an entry is added to this log.
  4. If the correction changes the explanation of a previous year question or a test series question, that explanation is corrected too.

Corrections to date

This log began on 27 May 2026. Newest corrections first.

27 September 2026 · BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting 2026

Type: Factual (membership count)

Original: BRICS was described as having “ten full members”, in the text and in Figure 1.

Corrected to: “ten confirmed members (eleven in official lists that include Saudi Arabia)”. Official BRICS and Government of India lists count eleven members; Saudi Arabia has not formally confirmed joining.

Verified against: BRICS (Wikipedia), section on the status of Saudi Arabia.

27 May 2026 · PRAGATI 46th Meeting (May 2026)

Type: Factual (acronym / institutional name)

Original: An early draft referred to the central grievance redressal interface as the “PMI Portal”.

Corrected to: “PG Portal”, the public-facing identifier for the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) operated by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).

Verified against: pgportal.gov.in and the DARPG portal.

27 May 2026 · Gaganyaan ECLSS Update (May 2026)

Type: Factual (institutional role attribution)

Original: Dr. Vikram Sarabhai was described as the “first Director of ISRO”.

Corrected to: “founding Chairman of ISRO”. Sarabhai served as the first Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation from 1969 onwards; the “Director” framing conflated ISRO’s chairmanship with the directorate of the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) which he founded earlier.

Verified against: ISRO official biography of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai.

27 May 2026 · INS Sanghmitra NGOPV (May 2026)

Type: Figure caption

Original: The featured image carried a stray “+ Crew Module” label and an unrelated note.

Corrected to: The stray label and note were removed, and the source credit was moved to the caption beneath the image. Underlying factual content of the vessel class, displacement, and shipyard remained unchanged.

Verified against: Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) Ltd. and Indian Navy press release archive.

27 May 2026 · Wetlands Rules 2017 Supreme Court Notice (May 2026)

Type: Sourcing (replaced with the official source)

Original: India’s Ramsar site count and the wetlands governance framework were initially drawn from a secondary summary.

Corrected to: Re-sourced to the Ramsar Convention Secretariat country profile for India and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) Wetlands Rules, 2017 gazette text. Figures and dates verified against the primary record.

Verified against: Ramsar Secretariat: India country profile and MoEFCC portal.

27 May 2026 · Current affairs headings review (22 articles, 20–26 May 2026)

Type: Headings

Original: Across multiple Current Affairs articles published 20–26 May 2026, several sub-headings used repeated generic phrasing (e.g., “Three institutional anchors”, “Three converging significances”) that did not describe the topic of each section.

Corrected to: Sub-headings rewritten to describe the specific topic of each section. Underlying factual content unchanged; this was a readability and clarity fix.

Verified against: Editorial review and reader feedback that the headings were unclear.
